Class Descriptions

Foundational Mixed Apparatus - This class is a great introduction to the Reformer and Tower basics. We will reinforce the basic principles of Pilates to ensure success. The Gratz Pilates Reformer is designed to build muscle strength, develop balance, increase flexibility, improve posture and range of movement using resistance and other tools.The tower wall unit uses resistance springs to tone arms, legs, buttocks, and core. This workout will stretch and strengthen muscles while increasing your range of motion. This is a safe alternative to the traditional weight training. This is a great class for beginners or anyone who wants an introduction to the Pilates method.
Mixed Apparatus - This Apparatus Class is a combination class that will use various equipment such as the Tower Wall Unit, Reformer, Small Barrels, Magic circle, and weights. The tower wall unit uses resistance springs to tone arms, legs, buttocks, and core. This workout will stretch and strengthen muscles while increasing your range of motion. This is a safe alternative to the traditional weight training.The Gratz Pilates Reformer is designed to build muscle strength, develop balance, increase flexibility, improve posture and range of movement using resistance and other tools.
Bootcamp - This fast paced class will combine exercises from the Tower Unit, Reformer, Mat and small apparatus in a Bootcamp style. This class is offered to those who have successfully completed a minimum of 10 regular apparatus classes or those who have teacher approval to attend. Please reach out to your teacher to sign up! Get ready to get your sweat on!
Mat Class - In this group mat class, you will work on a combination of mat exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and restore balance. For an added 'plus", we will use some contemporary small props for a fun fusion of classical and contemporary fun. Some of these may be used (rollers, barrels, bands, balls, light weights, magic circles, spine correctors, and magic circles).
Special Equipment - This special traditional equipment Mixed Apparatus Class is a combination class that will use an assortment of apparatus that Joe Pilates created. This class will include use of the Wunda Chair, Electric/High Chair, Baby/Arm Chair, Pedi pole, Resistor, and more! This class will have you moving and training from one apparatus to the next.

Intermediate - This is an intermediate level class with more complex exercises. It is for those that are familiar with the basics of pilates and have a good understanding on how to complete the exercises and are ready for a more challenging class. Participants are expected to set up the equipment with no assistance. This class uses various equipment such as the Tower Wall Unit, Reformer, Small Barrels, Magic circle, bands and weights. The tower wall unit uses resistance springs to tone arms, legs, buttocks, and core.

Advanced Class - THIS CLASS REQUIRES PRE-APPROVAL BY RINA - This Advanced Apparatus Class is a combination class that will use various equipment such as the Tower Wall Unit, Reformer, Small Barrels, Magic circle, and weights. The tower wall unit uses resistance springs to tone arms, legs, buttocks, and core. This workout will stretch and strengthen muscles while increasing your range of motion. This is a safe alternative to the traditional weight training. Teen Class - This Apparatus Class is for teens ages 13-17 years of age. It is a combination class that will use various equipment such as the Tower Wall Unit, Reformer, Small Barrels, Magic circle, and weights. Student Teacher Class - This is a class taught by an Apprentice who is currently enrolled and participating in our Teacher Training Program and is working towards their full certification. This is a discounted class that we are offering to our valued clients so that the apprentices can accumulate their apprentice hours. The apprentices are NOT fully certified. You will be taking this class at your own risk.
